Facebook Like Jacking – Tricking user to liking a fanpage

by Brian Sy on July 3, 2011

Like-Jacking is a Facebook-enabled java script hidden “Like Button” on External websites pages. Facebook users are unaware that a like-jacking has taken place due to the fact the like button is usually hidden on a photo, video, link etc.  If your login to facebook, you will not have known you liked the page, otherwise a facebook connect will popup.

Many Facebook friends also end up as victim cause it was posted on your wall for days, thinking you actually like the page.

As of march 31, 2011, facebook has block likejacking problem with implementation system that detects suspicious “Like” patterns and enforces confirmation.
